Rich Ohrnberger grew up in East Meadow, NY and as a Long Island native grew up playing lacrosse. He joined the football team in 8th grade, and fell in love with the sport that would later take him to Penn State University on a full scholarship. Rich Played five seasons for the Nittany Lions and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies.
Rich entered the NFL as a 4th-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 2009. He spent the 2009-11 seasons with the Patriots including Super Bowl XLVI, before signing with Arizona in 2012. He finished his playing career in 2014 as a San Diego Charger, playing two seasons in San Diego. He played in 39 career games, and made 12 starts during his 6-year NFL career.
Rich has a reputation for being a funny teammate and great storyteller. With his passion to entertain, Rich has become a cult figure on twitter and is followed by more than 25,000 fans on the social media site with his handle @ohrnberger. Throughout his time in college and the NFL, Rich has found a stage in front of teammates and media alike, performing stand-up, telling life stories, screening original productions, and developing his voice as a professional broadcaster.
